Roberta Roccati

Hi, I’m Roberta, aka ‘The Boss’ (not because I’m bossy, I just have better ideas). Pragmatic and super organized, to the point of appearing “all head”, I have radically changed my ways to follow Francesco, the love of my life, and now appear “all heart”. The truth is that my biggest talent is knowing how to tune reason and feeling to the notes of reality.
I firmly believe that one does not live without the sun, travel and chocolate.
I hate dieting, the ‘lucky you’ sentence and the ungratefulness.
My sense of humour is almost equal to my sense of duty, all shaken up into a mix of contrasts and adaptability. You can find me lazily devouring books for hours on the sofa and then tirelessly grinding out 10,000 km in the desert between a helicopter flight and a hike inside a volcano. I work during the day in the rain and snow and the mud and dust, but in the evening, you will see me whizzing around in a miniskirt and 12″ heels on my supermotard until I get home to sit at my computer and edit photos into the morning.
My motto is ‘never say never’ because it’s not over until it’s over and because you don’t judge without empathy.
I am as you see me: it’s not a promise, it’s a threat!

Roberta Roccati, a lawyer from Turin and athlete of the national fencing and cross-country skiing teams, has worked in a bank and in investor relations at FIAT. She has also published books on private law and political economy. In 2006, she caught the eye of Sorrentinian photographer Francesco Rastrelli. From their union, both personal and professional, Blue Passion Photo was born. Roberta is Blue Passion Photo’s project manager and photographer. Self-taught, she soon found her natural place in motorsports photography, with a predilection for vintage cars, producing shots that combine action and landscape, taking aerial shots, for the sake of freedom and unusual perspectives. She also enjoys photographing events in evening dresses and heels because the mix of action and glamour is what best distinguishes her. She handles photo-editing, event organisation and production and puts Francesco’s photo stories into words, publishing journalistic and reportage articles in international magazines.
